Well I arrived here at the lodge just in time for dinner. Dad tried to eat a little but only took a few bites. He headed back up to to the room pretty early and I stayed and visited and caught up with everyone. Coach still isn't doing well. The lady with brain cancer is really not doing well. Her husband tells me that she cannot walk now and is not able to dress herself and keeps trying to leave the room for treatment after they have already had treatment today. It hurts my heart. She had a really bad headache tonight and he stated that he would probably have to take her to the emergency room before the night was over. Please pray for them both.
As for Sid, well the feeding tube has helped him get his strength back because tonight he sang KARAOKE!!! And he is pretty darn good. He can't eat because his throat is too sore, but he can sing some Johnny Cash. It made me smile.
As for Dad, he calmly informed me tonight that he doesn't think it is the pain medicine making him sick. Sorry Sonya. He didn't listen to us either. I guess he has learned to tune us out like he did mom. HA HA! He isn't nauseaous right now and he is reading his book. This is his fourth book in about a week. I said "Holy cow dad, you are a fast reader." Thank you Sonya for the sweet sister statement. Everyone reading will think we are so sweet to each other. :) You are the bestest sister too! Especially for going home and cooking that prime rib that I have no idea how to do.!!!! Well hoping tomorrow is a better day for everyone here and hopefully I won't have to fight the pain meds issue. Will talk to you all tomorrow. Lots of Love, Shannon P.S. BTW Terry, Sonya agrees with me, and we nominate YOU to call Dr. Dilling and tell him what he needs to do. He just might make you cry this time. HA HA love you!
