For real this time! The countdown is almost over so we can get a few weeks break before it begins again. Keep praying that during that break Pop gains some strength back!!!!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, we surely did! It was great to once again have all of the family together! Pop wasn't his usual silly self but he did well considering everything he has been thru!
We arrived back here in Tampa just in time for his treatment today! Thankfully there weren't any po-pos hiding out on any of those back roads today cause we were "skinning it back" as Pop says....When I picked him up this morning to head this way we were thinking his treatment wasn't until 3:00 or so! Luckily I decided to double check his appt. times and sure enough it had been changed to 12:40! This was at 10:30!!!!It takes us a good two hours to get here when the traffic is good...And yep we made it in two hours, that was even stopping to get gas!!!!Yep, we were skinning it back! Kinda gave us something to focus on, which we desperately needed cause you see Pop woke up sick this morning! Wasn't able to keep anything down and was still real nauseous...glad I talked him into taking some nausea meds and benadryl before we left cause if not he might have had a heart attack!LOL :}
Anyway they must have worked because he didn't get sick on the trip over, WHEW!
He seems to be doing a little better tonight but still not able to eat or drink as much as the doc would like. BUT tommorrow is another day and destined to be a better one at that.
As for the lodge..kinda quiet..not the same without our buddies! Trying to make new buddies but still not the same! I miss you guys! Chad and Kristen are still here so that helps! Anyways for me ~ I think its time to bed down......KEEP PRAYIN' ~Sonya~
