Half way mark!!!!

Whew! What a trip home....Needless to say I won't leave during rush hour traffic again. I am glad to be home but I do have to admit is was difficult for me to leave tonight. Partly because there was a group from the ACS bringing in decorations and lots of food but mostly because I was enjoying the time with dad and him feeling better. I also knew there would be a gathering of all the hope lodge residents at 6:00 for this dinner, and I do have to say I desired to be a part of that gathering. You see after only a few minutes with these "friends" you want to be able to spend more time with them.
As for Terry saying we may be some of the chosen ones to battle cancer, I believe we are! For the simple reason being that he knew it would affect many people because of the love and compassion tuft have for Pop, and I think God knew he was strong enough to handle this battle. As for the family as a whole I believe Pop was chosen to make us all slow down a little and pay more attention to the small things. There are
so many battles being fought by so many people, more than I ever imagined. I remember when Pop was diagnosed feeling like "why him"?! Not understanding why he was chosen, well I have a completely different outlook on that now....like Terry said ...I know why now and know I will even know more reasons before this battle is won!
As for dad, he has so much more strength than he had the last time I was at the lodge staying with him. He is in great spirits, I didn't even have to ask him to go down stairs to mingle this time. He was the one waiting on me to get ready. I contribute this to the boost and ensure that he is drinking. That is some powerful stuff! I also think all of the prayers are helping as well! THANKS!
As for the family we have been blessed to be a part of at the hope lodge, I will surely miss them come January!
