I spoke with the gentleman today whose wife now has brain cancer. He told me that she had a great weekend but was starting to have some confusion now. Once again my heart went out to him. Sid, another gentleman we have come to know, needs a feeding tube but his platelets are not where they need to be so they can not do surgery yet. There is another gentleman here who has had most of his nose removed. He was very self conscious initially but has started to talk with me more now. He has been having more pain. Doug, the cancer sucks guy, gave away another pin tonight to a pretty young girl. It cracks me up. They call him the "chick magnet". Girls are continuously approaching him about his pin and he gives them the pin in exchange for a hug. Funny! We got a new neighbor today. He is across the hall and ate with us tonight. During dinner they handed out tickets for a drawing. Someone asked Cayman what his number was and he wouldn't tell them because he said he was gonna win and he didn't want to jinx himself. Low and behold they called his number. There are a ton of interesting people here and if you have been following this blog you may know who I am talking about or you may not. New people are coming and others are going but I would bet money on the fact that there are friendships being made that will last a lifetime. Shannon
